Architecture and technical leadership

.NET architecture and technical leadership from Switzerland

We review the architectures you already run, make the decisions together with you and stay until they have reached the code. As reinforcement inside your team, or as a sparring partner from outside.

What we do

Software architecture for .NET systems

Solution architecture and reviews

We design the architecture for new systems and review the ones you already run. Decisions are written down so that in two years it is still clear why something was built the way it was.

Technical leadership

As an interim tech lead or as a sparring partner for your developers. Code reviews, standards and decisions your team can carry on by themselves.

Cloud and scalability

Hosting, cost and resilience are part of the architecture. We pick Azure services and operating models with you that match your load and your budget.

How it works

How an architecture engagement runs

Not a slide deck that disappears into a shared drive. You get decisions your team can act on.

  1. Understand

    • Talk to the team and the business
    • Look at the code and the infrastructure
    • Clarify goals and constraints
    • Collect the current pain points
  2. Assess

    • Architecture review with findings
    • Risks sorted by impact
    • Rough estimate of effort and cost
    • Quick wins kept apart from the big items
  3. Decide

    • Options with their pros and cons
    • Architecture decision records
    • Target picture with intermediate steps
    • Made together with your team
  4. Accompany

    • Shape the implementation inside the team
    • Code reviews and pairing
    • Architecture tests as guard rails
    • Handover to your developers
Why BitSpire

Why teams bring us in for .NET architecture

Decisions, not a list of options

We do not hand you a list of possibilities and leave the choice to you. We recommend one path, explain why, and say openly what speaks against it.

Architecture that reaches the code

A diagram only becomes architecture once the code follows it. With architecture tests we make the rules checkable instead of hoping for discipline.

We stay reachable

We do not disappear once the review is delivered. Many clients bring us in regularly for individual decisions, in small doses and without a fixed retainer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about architecture

Do you join the team, or do you advise from outside?

Both. Some clients bring us in from outside for a review, others embed us in the team as technical reinforcement. It often starts with a review and turns into ongoing support afterwards. On site in Switzerland, or remotely with teams abroad.

What does an architecture review cost and how long does it take?

Depending on the size of the system, a review takes between a few days and two weeks. You get an estimate up front so you know what you are signing up for.

We have an old .NET Framework application. Does that help?

Yes. We have guided several migrations of this kind, in one case moving around 150 projects step by step onto modern .NET. We modernise in small increments so your product can keep shipping while it happens. We wrote up how we go about it.

Do you work exclusively with .NET?

Our depth is in .NET, C# and Azure, and that is where our decisions are strongest. We still answer architecture questions about interfaces, data storage and scaling when parts of your system run in other languages.
