We teach your team what we build every day.
Trainings and workshops on C# and web development, run by people who write production code and not just slides. In German or English, remote, on-site at your company, or at a venue we organise.
Three ways the training reaches you
You decide where it happens. We take care of the rest.
Remote and virtual
Live over Teams or Zoom, with a shared repository, exercises and plenty of room for questions. Ideal for distributed teams and multiple sites.
In-house at your company
We come to your rooms, your machines and your codebase. What we cover can be applied to the real project the same day.
We organise the venue
No suitable room free? We find the location, sort out the technology and set everything up. You only bring your team.
This is what a course can look like
One example from our programme: web APIs with ASP.NET Core, from the fundamentals to testing and real-time updates. Not a fixed catalogue, a starting point.
-
Fundamentals and setup
- REST principles and API design
- Development environment and project structure
- Your first ASP.NET Core web API
- Routing and configuration
-
Building RESTful APIs
- CRUD operations done cleanly
- Routes and naming conventions
- DTOs and mapping
- HTTP status codes and error formats
-
Advanced topics
- Authentication and authorisation
- API versioning
- Real-time updates with SignalR
- Error handling and logging
-
Testing and documentation
- Unit tests for controllers and services
- Integration tests that actually say something
- OpenAPI and Swagger
- Measuring performance instead of guessing
... or we tailor a course to your team
That is usually how it goes: you tell us where the team is struggling, and we build a course around it. Only LINQ and performance? Blazor from zero to productive? Clean architecture on your own codebase? All possible. We match content, depth and length to your team instead of running a standard programme.
What we can cover
Our focus is C# and web development. These are the topics that come up most often:
- C# from the ground up
- LINQ and functional patterns
- ASP.NET Core
- Web APIs and REST
- Blazor
- Entity Framework Core
- Unit and integration testing
- Clean architecture
- Performance and profiling
- Async and parallelism
For developers who want to go further
Our trainings are aimed at C# teams that want to go deeper into web and API development. Basic C# knowledge is enough. The format is interactive: questions are explicitly welcome, and we go wherever the team currently hurts.
- Basic C# knowledge, meaning variables, classes and methods
- A laptop with a current .NET SDK
- Visual Studio, Rider or VS Code with the C# Dev Kit
- Course material and code samples come from us
Trainers who ship
Microsoft MVP
Steven Giesel is a Microsoft MVP for Developer Technologies and has been teaching C# and ASP.NET Core for years, in German and in English.
Open source in millions of builds
He maintains bUnit, the testing library for Blazor, with close to 15 million downloads. What we teach sits in our own production code.
Stage-tested
Talks at NDC Oslo and .NET Day Switzerland. We know how to explain a complex topic so that it still sticks after the course.
Common questions about trainings and workshops
How long does a training take?
As long as your topic needs. A focused workshop fits into a single day, a broader course runs across several sessions. We agree the length with you instead of selling you a fixed package.
Which language is the training held in?
German or English, whichever suits your team. Material and code samples are always in English.
Can you tailor a training to our codebase?
Yes. In a short call beforehand we work out which problems you actually want to tackle, and build the course around them.
Our work with ASP.NET Core and BlazorWhat if we do not have a suitable training room?
Then we organise one. We find a fitting location, sort out the technology and set everything up. You only bring your team.
