Agent-ready

Our website speaks agent: Markdown for every page and an MCP server

More and more visitors are AI agents. They don't need our layout, they need our content. That is why bitspire.ch serves every page as Markdown and runs its own MCP server: cheaper for the agent and faster for the person waiting on the answer.

Markdown

Every page as Markdown, same URL

Send the header Accept: text/markdown or append .md to any URL and you get the page as clean Markdown instead of HTML. Navigation, styles, scripts and layout markup are gone, headings, text, tables and links stay. Browsers keep getting HTML, and Vary: Accept keeps caches apart.

The Markdown is generated from the rendered HTML, so it can never drift from what humans see. Every response tells the agent how much it saves in the headers x-original-tokens and x-markdown-tokens.

Try it yourself
curl -H "Accept: text/markdown" https://bitspire.ch/blog
curl https://bitspire.ch/blog.md

/agentic 13,883 1,955 7x

Rough estimates (bytes divided by 4), as reported in x-original-tokens and x-markdown-tokens, measured in October 2026.

A) Lower cost for agents

LLMs bill per token. An agent that reads our home page as Markdown processes about 2,000 instead of 20,000 input tokens. Over a research session with dozens of pages, that is the difference between a few cents and a noticeable bill, and it leaves more room in the context window for the actual task.

B) Faster answers

Fewer bytes travel over the wire, and the model has far less to read before it can answer. On our side the Markdown is rendered once per page and then served from memory. The person waiting for the agent gets the answer sooner.

MCP server

A public MCP server, listed as ch.bitspire/website

With the Model Context Protocol (MCP), agents like Claude or ChatGPT call tools directly instead of crawling pages. Our server runs at https://bitspire.ch/mcp over streamable HTTP, read-only and without login.

It is registered in the official MCP Registry under the name ch.bitspire/website. The namespace is tied to our domain: the registry verified that bitspire.ch belongs to us, so agents and clients can trust that this server really is ours.

  • get_site_overview - returns an overview of BitSpire: services, key pages, team and references.
  • search_site - full-text search over all pages and blog posts.
  • get_page - returns any page as the Markdown described above.
  • start_inquiry - creates a link to our contact form, prefilled with subject and message. Nothing is sent, the user reviews and submits.

Your software

The same works for your .NET application

Markdown for agents and an MCP server took us a few hundred lines of ASP.NET Core. The same approach makes your own product, your internal knowledge or your APIs usable for AI agents, on your infrastructure and with your data in Switzerland or the EU.
